C2RMF is the center for research and restoration of french museums, part of the ministry of Culture. The center is in charge of analysis and restoration of art works for all the museums in France. It has a research, a restoration, a documentation and a preventive conservation department.
The C2RMF has imaging facilities (scientific photography in UV and IR, radiography and X tomography, surface 3D equipment) and also has chemical and nuclear analysis. The restoration department has extensive knowledge about restoring painting, objects, archaeology and art history.
